Quotes Challenge

Well this was a surprise and nice little project, after taking a challenge from Steph here are my results & I am hoping the writers chosen will take the challenge with the fun intended and not as extra work hehe.

So here is the challenge posed:
Rules for the challenge:
1. Post 3 of your favourite quotes each per day for 3 recurrent days. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.
2. Nominate 3 or more bloggers with each post to challenge them.
3. Don’t forget to utter a thankful word to the person who nominated you.

My Favourite Quotes

The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” -Carl Jung

When we treat man as he is, we make him worse than he is; when we treat him as if he already were what he potentially could be, we make him what he should be.” –  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

You may shoot me with your words,

You may cut me with your eyes,

You may kill me with your hatefulness,

But still, like air, I’ll rise

-Maya Angelou

XXX Text

I love it when you text me, as I masturbate
Obeying a slow build up of tension
Your words attempt to exacerbate
Interspersed with bursts of vibration
I love those eloquent virtual smacks
The requests you demand are sublime
The pulsating steps towards climax
The erratic responses in time.
I savour your cheeky suggestions
Smile, when I see you emote
Lap up your rhetorical questions
Indulge in the joy you promote
But to you these words are just frivolous
So my pleasure from you, stays oblivious.

Out of Context

The electric crackle of leather colliding with air
Shadows of tassels gyrating in the candlelight
Air thick with the sweet scent of sandalwood
Tones of a saxophone filing our safe place

To the untrained eye,
the leash sits too tightly.
The cut of the cuffs too severe.
Our resolve too relentless,
too demeaning even

Yet just one mention of a Jellyfish,
could spiral the whole tableau.
Render us incapable of anything,
other than absurdity.

Balance restored by an equal serving of satire

But seriously,
We really must change that word!

The Unspoken

We sit – in silence

It stands between us like a wall of ice,

muffling our low clicking sounds.

It has always been there

That soft, sultry notion of nothingness

It has always been curled around us

watching us go about our days.

Yet it was never visible before,

This silence which squeezes itself into our world

It was never so clear, to the eye,

to the ear.

Never before had it announced it’s presence

so loud.

And now as I breathe in our life

I hear the silence.

It pursues me with bells,

Lights a beacon under my chair,

Forms an exclamation mark in my mind.

I am deafened by the lack of sound.

Yet opening my throat to speak

only produces a soft click …. click

and so is the music of our subsistence.

But turning, I see your smile

glowing in satisfaction.
