Kiss

50 Word story: An Expensive Kiss

An Expensive Kiss

He leapt from her arms, conscious of time fading. He took one last look at her smiling face between his palms before planting a soft kiss, then he ran. He didn’t look back: a clear image in mind. He ran towards his scowling fiancé who was waiting, tickets in hand.

A-Z Challenge: Parting X

Perhaps a bit of a cheat this one as it is a poem I had previously posted but it fits too well in my Stolen Words theme not to recycle, so I hope I am forgiven for it *winks*

The original post is HERE

Parting Kiss

I love the way it glides
Back and forth
Bouncing between us
Our little cross to share

It’s just two lines
Two simple strokes
Of a pen
Is all it takes

A meaningless gesture
Or a potent one
Altered by timing
Perception
Inflection

It’s a game,
Sometimes
Leaving an absence
A space
of expectation

Who will draw first
Will it land safe
Or linger in the air
An awkward mark
Of affection
Fearing rejection
Sliding between
Our discourse

Just one little letter
Carrying power
Beyond its form
Possessing the ability
To dampen angst
Create smiles
Fuel lust

Who would imagine
Two dashes
would mean so much

NaPoWriMo -Say what scares you

Words left unsaid

Sometimes I feel I would eat you alive
Merge my face into your supple chest
and blend our bodies together.
To peel off your skin
make you into a coat
So I can wear you all day
Entwine limbs and lungs,
solder lips and tongues.
Press my bones against yours
until the imprint is visible
for all to see,
to show you just
how deeply I am into you

A-Z Challenge: Breathless B

Blood: or the lack of

It surges
into all the wrong places
You say

I beg to differ
From this angle
It seems so right

Lips curling over teeth
Eyes which roll back
Breath that shortens
Quickening
With each nod
That clench of fingertips
Until you buckle

Scooping up my face
in shaking hands
Imploring me to stop

Breathlessly kissing
Whilst contemplating
Blood in extremities

Strategically placed scarf

In daring days, on cooler nights

You tremble

Lips quivering, hands peruse

Soft angles of flesh

Delicate notes of vanilla pods

Dance under nostrils

Weaving intoxication into the air

And loins

Warm tingles spread – grinning

Like Cheshire cat with cream

And all at once the urge

To pounce

Upon unsuspecting mouth

Hot with anticipated breath

Oh, restrained font of desire

If only you could see, as I do

Kiss of Death

With soft fleshy lips
pressed hard
full against my mouth
He could suffocate me with one kiss
Yet I would die happy
With a joyous tingling inside
Willing him to keep his luscious lips on mine

When his hands firmly hold my neck
Thumb trailing over my jaw
Fingers curling around my throat
He could halt the intake of air
Yet suffocation would bring only desire
As I sigh and die
By his warm hands

Amidst the Roses

The roses smell sweeter
When wet
Crushed under the arch of your back
Delicate petals
Sodden with sweat
Paper thin shells
Pressed into lush grass
Flattened by the force
Of desire

I remember it well

The nights you came to me
Secret trysts under trellis’
Stolen kisses
As the sun raced us home

Your skin glistening with sweat then
Hot breathe on my neck
As you panted my name
The moment you gave yourself

Over to passion
Over to love
Over to me

I remember it well

My beautiful picture

She had a soul but they ate it up

Upon first meeting, she was too much

A whirlwind of pigtails and sugar

Offering her heart with a daisy chain

To the boy who persisted at kiss chase

As flowers turned to love

and tears, and sweat

Her open heart found a home

On a rollercoaster

Where the theme park never closed

And though she sometimes felt nauseous

The stomach flips were too addictive

Grasping each new adventure with a clean slate

Every love a contortion on a clay heart

Until one day the cracks would no longer seal

She could only watch as they left

With dusty hands and fatter souls

Whilst feeling the lightness

In the space it once resided

Her very own

That moment before we wake

Forcefully I lead you
By the hand
Seeking out a space
Away from prying eyes
A sparse haven in the surround
Flattened undergrowth
Where we may lie
Hidden from view
Safe from danger
Yet not from each other

Pulling you close
Feeling your weight
Crush against my chest
A stirring inside
As your mouth
hurriedly finds mine
We share a hunger

For lips
teeth
tongue
Skin

I want to devour you

Fingers raking flesh
As we taste each other’s saliva
Sweet and frothy
The juice of nectar
Drips from your tongue
Eagerly licked
and swallowed

The outline of you
Pressed against me
Allows my mind to wander
So too my hands
Clawing their way
Into your heart
Into your clothes

I want you inside me

Hot and heavy
Heart racing
At the feeling
of being alive
Being here
Being with you
Then I realise

As my eyelids begrudgingly open
